Synopsis

THE "UNTOUCHABLE" CLARK KENT! Clark Kent and Lois Lane are mistaken for John Dillinger and his moll by Ed Babson, a '30's movie actor whose disturbed mind causes him to think he is an old-time gangster. Clark goes to great lengths to keep both his secret identity, and Lois Lane, safe until Superman uses some Kandorian technology to cure Babson. TALES OF GREEN KRYPTONITE NO. 1 A sentient piece of Green Kryptonite tells of how it was originally part of an Illium award given to Jor-El for scientific achievement, only to be transformed into a chunk of Kryptonite by the atomic explosion that destroyed Krypton. On Earth, it first endangered Beppo the Super-Monkey, then young Clark, and finally, Superboy, before it was temporarily neutralized by Lex Luthor and thrown to the Arctic by the Boy of Steel. THE TRIUMPH OF LUTHOR AND BRAINIAC! After Jimmy Olsen disobeys Superman's orders about not handling an emergency situation on his own, the Man of Steel and Batman dress up as Lex Luthor and Brainiac, respectively, and try to teach Jimmy a lesson.
